The premise for Replica Los Angeles was inspired by a photo of David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed taken by photographer Mick Rock, which I had discovered many years ago while designing my 1st solo collection. This served as a launchpad to do some sweaters fashioned as 70's rock t-shirts graphically rendered in intarsia knit.

'Replica,' is a tongue-in-cheek reference to my 1st go-around with this idea. Long wanting to expand on this concept, I've incorporated much loved musical influences including glam rock, punk and Jamaican ska, along with a love for seminal 70's London boutique/brands, Biba and Mr. Freedom, Pop Art and graphic design, into a collection of vibrant and playful fine gauge intarsia and printed sweater knits.
